Abstract
Description
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the legal system presents both transformative
potential and significant challenges. AI tools promise increased efficiency in tasks such as legal
research and case analysis, but they also pose risks related to accountability, algorithmic bias,
and privacy. This research explores these challenges, focusing on how unregulated AI use can
undermine the integrity of legal processes and potentially compromise justice. Using qualitative
analysis of legal frameworks and case studies, the study identifies key regulatory and ethical
solutions, including the need for transparency and human oversight. Preliminary findings
suggest that implementing robust ethical guidelines and oversight mechanisms can mitigate
these risks, ensuring AI's responsible and equitable use in the legal sector. This work highlights
the importance of balancing technological innovation with the preservation of justice and
fairness, offering a roadmap for integrating AI in a way that supports rather than undermines
legal integrity.
