Abstract
The Specific Topic: Anxiety, depression, and adverse childhood experiences focused on Alma College students.
The central questions or statement of the problem your research addresses: The impact of adverse childhood experiences on anxiety and depression among Alma college students.
The rationale or the goals for your research: This project aims to look at the relationship of anxiety and depression following adverse childhood experiences in college aged populations. Anxiety and depression often have high comorbidity and are the most common psychiatric illnesses among individuals (Kalin, 2020). Many risk factors are associated with the development of anxiety and depression
including early life adversity.
Your research and/or analytical methods: The anticipated date of completion for data collection is the end of February. I plan to run a correlation and regression analysis using SPSS to assess the relationship between anxiety, depression, and adverse childhood
experiences.
Your main findings, results, or arguments (or expected findings if your research is in progress): It is expected to find that adverse childhood experiences will be related to anxiety and depression levels in Alma College students.
